Default Dear Jane, What was I thinking?

I really do not know what I intend to do with these. I know for sure I will not be doing the whole quilt.
What I wanted was to try hand-piecing and to see if I could really do this.
Two years later and only 5 squares: this is going to be a long haul.
The 6th one has been redone twice and got disassembled last week. Again.

Tiny stitches are not the problem; straight lines and parallel to the edge are the problems.
I picked what I thought would be easy squares and know that I'll probably have to disassemble some as I try to put them together.
If I ever get to that stage!

    Wish me luck!
    Linda

You were much braver than I will ever be. Make a small wall size for yourself to enjoy what you accomplished piecing this quilt by hand.

Great blocks and they would make a pretty table runner.

I'm doing the Farmers Wife quilt as a hand sewing project. The only way I can get straight lines parallel to the edge is to mark every seam allowance with a Frixion pen. It's tedious but pays off in the end.

Good luck and congrats on what you have done so far. Looing good! I have about that many blocks done too in 2 years! My problem is more about changing my mind on colors. Red and white, Kaffe Fasset, all solids. Too many choices and a lot of blocks if I change my mind. There are blogs out there with tips on the different blocks. I'm even thinking of re-drawing the blocks to 6 inches as 4 inches is so fussy for me.
