    Default Denim Quilt

This generous throw is heading off to a hospital charity and I'm sure will appeal to some denim loving youngster.
This was made from pants, not shirts and was little trickier than usual to quilt. There was no way I could quilt over where the 4 corners met so I needed a pattern that would avoid all but a single seam. (Even then there was a problematic difference between the fabrics.) The pattern that worked for me was the simple continuous line puzzle pieces. They worked out to about 5 inches. I did them in a variegated thread top and bottom (flannel) Enjoy.

Ah denim, the workhorse fabric! Did you use 1/4" seams? I've been using the serger (3 threads) to sew seams here of late. I like the quilting design as well. The more these are washed the softer they get. I made my first one over 30 years ago for a HS graduation. He still has it!

What a great way of using up various colors of denim. Yes, some kid is going to enjoy this denim quilt you made.
