    What a genius idea! Mine is just a 21 x 48 inch board that goes over my regular ironing board. I like your idea better!

    Delores, the iron rest is actually a part of the iron. It's the Hamilton Beach Smart Lift iron. I love the lift, but also the iron is great for quilters because it has the option to stay on and not turn off automatically.

    Just wanted to add a postscript here: after a couple of weeks of heavy use - boy oh boy do I wish I did this years ago. Ironing has never been easier and it's even (gasp ) FUN!
