It looks like double slice layer cake?

I hope Carrie is recovering nicely and surgery was a success. No doubt her new quilt with the soft crinkles has comforted her like a warm hug. You have a great eye for color and especially like the pop of orange. 9-patch is always a fav. You were fast in making this quilt, but I guarantee your niece will love this quilt for a long time into the future. Well done!

I hope the surgery went well. I am sure the bright colors and your love will help the healing process.

    Thanks, everyone.
She had a really strange heart problem- I'm a cardiac nurse and never heard of it. She came through just fine and is home. My brother (her Dad) is with her. I appreciate the prayers and good wishes. She's such a wonderful member of our family!

pennyhal- It's a disappearing nine patch. Easy!

While the quilting isn't perfect, I'm pleased with it. I'm improving! She got it yesterday (2 days in the mail wow!) and is thrilled.
Nobody in my family quilts so they think I'm a magician .
Thanks for looking at Carrie's quilt.
Don't be too much of a magician. They will expect you to snap your finger and make every quilt quickly. It is really a great quilt. Love your fabrics.
