    Default Finally Finished!

A friend asked last April (2012) if I would make a quilt for his wife for Mother's Day. I told him that he couldn't get it in a month. She and I worked together to find a pattern and border fabric that she liked. I worked on it, off and on, for a year but finally hunkered down in February and focused on getting it done. I finished it the week before Mother's Day.

The pattern is called Stone Cottages and is free on the Andover website. DH had a template made from plexiglass for the center octagon which helped greatly when fussy cutting the 99 medallions.

I know how the time line goes. I tell my children that is a Christmas gift .. Then they ask" What year?" People that do not do hand work have NO CONCEP of time. You did a super job. I also like her choice of fabrics. Hugs
