    Default First wool applique project

This is my first wool appliqué project. It is a simple penny rug, but now at least I have more confidence to tackle bigger, more complex projects.

Very pretty. I started my first wool project several month's ago. I pick it up every now and then when I'm watching TV. Love the stove too! And the trivets!

I am starting on a wool project. I have bought pieces of wool and also wool jackets at thrift shops when they are really cheap. I have washed and dried in the dryer all the pieces of wool. I have hand dyed the colors that I didn't have. I have cut the background squares and have a lovely pattern that I bought at a sewing expo. Now to get down to business and start the applique.

your first penny rug turned out very nice! I love making them- I can just sit & stitch, stitch, stitch for hours happily. I love working with wools. you did a great job on your first one!

Very pretty. Almost looks southwestern. If copying is a form of flattery, do you mind if I flatter you? I have saved some wool pieces and was wondering what I could do with them. Your work is lovely

This was the pattern of my first wool applique project as well, but your is much prettier with the brightly colored "pennies". Ours was black and grey and dark gold. Thanks for sharing.
