    Being that the hankies are a thinner fabric did you use a fusible interfacing to give more body to them? Great idea for hankies!

    now looking at the pic again..seems like you did a four patch, one of which had the colored fabric bottom of the basket, then appliquéd the half hankie and handle. (Hand or machine appliqué)?
