Default flower panel

I bought the panels of these flowers with the intent of making the "big quilt block" pattern.

I've run into a bit of an issue that I realized early on, but decided to forge ahead.

The fabric the blocks are on was warped. When I cut out the blocks, they weren't square (or even rectangular). So I had to cut off the green frame that was around each block.

I had calculated this into my strip lengths, and of course, I had already cut and sewn them all together (at least for the purple flowers).

I still have to wait for the blue fabric to do the blue flowers ... but here's what I have so far. Not quite the pattern I wanted, but at least it's pretty!

If someone has layout ideas I'd be happy to see them!

Those are absolutely gorgeous. So sorry you had such a struggle with them but I love how they turned out. Can't wait to see the final quilt. I always love everything you make.

Your solution is genius. I love the way the blocks are offset from their frames.
Beautiful work!
