Default Flowers from 1932 KC newspaper

I have been slowly working on this top. Finally got the borders on. Blocks are all raw-edge appliqued using scraps. The second photo is similar blocks made by my friend Connie. I love how older favorites are getting a new look. 5 of us are taking on this project and I will share pictures when the others get their tops finished.

I really like the quilts you ladies are making or have made. The patterns are so historic and the raw edge applique so modern. Wonderful combination of era specific elements. I will look forward to see the finished quilts pictured for us to see.

What a beauty! Then, another lovely one too. Bet you are both going to go on and make them all. Sure wish I could do applique, but the old fingers won't let me.
