    It actually takes very little fabric. I worked out of my stash. If you Google "Folded Dahlia pattern" you will find the exact pattern I worked from. It came from "dungeonquilter" from the QB.

    My mother in law makes smaller ones and glues them to the top of tins, then covers the round of the tin in matching fabric and gives them as gifts. I use mine for sewing stuff and love it and when looking for it it always sticks out cuz I remember exactly what it looks like. Also I"ve seen pillows, and I've seen them framed as art as well.

    beautiful job on all of them. I couldn't wrap my brain around how to do them I'm very jealous :-) but in a good way.

    In my opinion they are especially if you want to set something on it. They're great by themselves. I just took pix of a cpl. of them with a pc. of glass on them. I guess it works.
