    Default Found in a closet

I have been trying to learn how to quilt custom making it look great without taking 20-30 hours. I stuck to feathers, pumpkin seeds, fancy pumpkin seeds, quiggles and e's to unify the quilt. My favorite border is the one with the bias strip. I used that as the stem for a feather. I was able to slip though areas to avoid a lot of starts and stops between borders.

This is a quilt top that was given to a quilter after a family found a closet of quilt tops in an Aunt's home. She is not sue if the quilt will be treasured or again thrown into a closet and forgotten.

Did you find the missing motif? That gets corrected tomorrow.

Nice quilt but your quilting makes it great. It looks like she intended to put green appliqué leaves along the stem but your feathers finish it off well. I think it might have been a Round Robin top? I love a good mystery.

I think you did a wonderful job - what a great find. I am not sure what you mean by the "missing motif" I didn't see anything wrong or missing anywhere.
