Default Granddaughter's Fence Rail Christmas Throw

I decided to use some strips I'd had for years to make a fence rail throw for my 14 year old granddaughter for Christmas. It wasn't as big as I had hoped so added the border. The back is a piece of pink flannel with the burgandy flannel added to make it the right size. The border is the same burgandy flannel as is on the back. It was all fabric I had on hand. I found a pack of labels on Ebay last year and added one of them to this throw. I love them!! I had someone else machine quilt it for me. It's nothing fancy but I'm hoping she will enjoy it.

I really like the way you made the border from a stripe. It really is in the theme of the rail fence! Greaex job.

The silver lining of not having enough fabric, and extending the size by the border fabric, brought an extra pizzazz to the piece...she should enjoy this treasure for years to come. "Good Job Grandma!"

Good job. I'll bet she shows it off to all her friends.

Beautiful quilt. Like everyone else, I think the border goes with it really nicely.
