    Default Grandmother's Flowergarden

For years I sewed hexagons together to use up scraps! But now I must end this projekt because hand sewing is no longer possible....
And so I decided it is time to finish the "Flowergarden": I sewed two borders around to get a straight frame!
And as i have many waste fabric with flowers printed on I for the first time tried to make a backing out of these fabric pieces! Some of these fabrics are many years old.... Tried a simple quilting...

Hello, I try to explain how I did it!
I took a green fabric stripe about 10 cm or 4 inch wide, ironed it into half so that I have a straight marking where to line up my hexagons!
I pinned the top on this stripe and then sewed as narrow as I could around the outer sides of the hexies!
I made some pictures so you can see what I mean!
And now I hope I could help!
    Many greetings from Germany!
