    Default Great for History Lovers

My son said he wanted to use old maps as art work in his office so for Christmas I chose The Pony Express collection by Deborah Edwards for Northcott Studio. I purchased from MSQC and got little medallions from them also, one for each of the states or territories it went through from Missouri to California and attached them on the trail. Used leather to make loops to hang it from. Found a piece of the original style of barbed wire used to close much of the Open Range and 2 old horseshoes from working ranch mustangs. Also got him a book on the Pony Express. He loved it!

That is cool, all the way! Especially the board it hangs from...

That should go into the local quilt show too, if you can get your son to part with it for a week. That's ingenuity at its best. Thanks for posting.

Fabulous! Great use of Pony Express fabrics, inspiring me to get going on mine. This is one of the most creative pieces I've seen. Thank you for sharing.

I agree how nice that piece is. Such creativity. It is amazing how quilts can be used.
