    Default Guatemala tree

I'm calling this "Guatemala Tree" because I got the fabric in Guatemala. I was going to do another "Going Around in Circles" quilt http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t264940.html with this fabric, but it was sooooooo bright, I thought I'd tone it down with the appliquéd tree. It's a prayer quilt for a dear friend.

That is very unique and appealing. The background stripe fabric looks woven. Is it? If so that is very cool.

No, it is not woven, but that was the desired effect. It's striped fabric cut into squares and pieced in alternate directions.

Reminds me of the "tree planted by the water that shall not be moved" - great prayer quilt!

Perhaps a tree at sunset? You did a fine job.

It is so bright and beautiful the stripes (which do look woven) remind me of Josephs coat of many colors. and the tree is awesome. Really great quilt.
