I was sitting at the Ordination of an old family friend, staring at the beautiful stained glass windows of the chapel. I thought it looked like a quilt pattern I'd seen somewhere. I've made a little diagram of what it looked like. Any one know of a pattern name?

I want to make a quilt for Father Augustine out of this design.

I did a mug rug with these shapes using an Easy Dresden ruler. It is super 'easy' to use. I bought mine from Joanns. Here is a link to the picture.

yes, though typically it is a religious relic. Typically a gift should be something that can be shared with the Brothers.

I can't figure out what's going on with the Board, but the last three places I tried to look at photos, there were none...just the text. I will look for that Dresden ruler. It'll save me time with my layout. Thanks for the info

I had to laugh when you said you were sitting there looking at the stained glass and thinking that would make a great quilt. I do the same thing..lol. My son has four more years to go and will be ordained a priest. I really would love to do something special for him. I would love to do the stained glass in our church but don't even know where to begin

I just got my Oct/Nov Quilt magazine yesterday and on page 104 there is a pattern you should check out. It is an ad for SW Decoratives/Kokopelli Quilting Co. Their latest block of the month is called "Mission Saints Of California". Kinda neat, wonder what the whole quilt looks like.
