I would do a narrow border of the blue and a wider border of the brown. Love your fabrics and colors

    Yeah, what she said!

Both colors. If you use only blue or only gray it would not pop out.

The Carpenter Star is mine. Your Labyrinth looks like it would like a ribbon border. quilterscache has a section of just borders.

To answer your question, I'd do a narrow border of deep chocolate or navy, then something incorporating both colors. 2 1/2" brown, followed by a 3 1/2" blue and bound in the dark or any two color pattern like the piano keys or ribbon. A three color braid would do. Blue/brown/white.

I want to thank everyone...and after auditioning several of the suggestions I opted for the narrow blue and the wider brown...hope i like it when it's done! :-)

Look forward to seeing the finished quilt. The blue will add a 'lift' to the quilt while the brown will probably 'mute' it. Depends on what effect you want but personally, I would like to 'lift' it and go for a bright colour. I would actually use either the blue, yellow, orange or even a red thin border then a thicker brown/blue whichever I'd prefer and finish it off with the earlier border colour that I chose. Then again, it is your creation and you must choose what you like; no matter what, it is still a beautiful quilt. Best wishes.
