    Default Incoming ... flying geese

A long time ago, when I first started quilting, I saw the flying geese pattern and tried it and couldn't get it to work.

Recently I discovered paper piecing ... flying geese are a breeze!

Here's what I have been sewing this afternoon. I am going to have a border of purple all the way around.

If someone sees a "better layout" feel free to post! I have more fabric so could make some more (but I don't want it to be huge!)

You certainly have been productive at PP geese. Very nicely done.

I'm like it the way you laid it out. I agree about PPing them.

With this layout, you will have some large areas (they call it 'negative space' now) to make an interesting quilted motif.
