I followed Karen's instructions and picked two colorways as she suggested. Black, brown and grey in both light and dark and red, organge and yellow ....I used as many different fabrics as I could find in my stash.

Gorgeous. It looks labor intensive but well worth the effort.

It is quilted already. I was going to do a spiky effect but changed my mind. I do free hand, long arm quilting so I just did an all over design that was not too conspicious, sort of plain as the quilt does a lot of talking lol.

Thank you so much ladies for all your lovely complitments. I am very proud of this quilt. Here's my story. I have been a professional seamstress all my life, there is nothing that I canot sew (well so I think) I love challenges, the harder the better. Well, a friend told me about quilting about 10 years ago and I went with her to a class and was so impressed with the way quilting had changed. I could never deal with little scaps of fabric lol...I learned how to use the rulers etc. I was hooked. I made seventeen quilts within two years. I have some listed on my blogs. I am now looking at the "Colorful Quilt" by
    Jacqueline de Jonge.
