    Default Jazz Cats quilt

I just finished the top of a Jazz Cats quilt. The pattern can be found in The Cat's Meow, a book of many cat quilts by Janet Kime.

I am pleased with the way it turned out...which is nice, because it is for me.

My eyes didn't enjoy doing the black background, so this may be my one and only try at a black background. I just can't see well enough sewing black on black...

Thanks for looking. (The fabrics are brighter than they appear in the picture.)

You did a great job. Black is horrible to work with, in my opinion.

Enjoy your new cat quilt - great colors!
I agree about working with a lot of black.

Such a fun quilt! I really love the richness of a quilt with a black background. I hate to work with black (but have) especially in the evening when I am trying to hand stitch a black binding with black thread. I read where they said to have a white sheet over your work surface to help.... I tried it, but didn't find it significantly different.

I love it. I have a cat loving SIL that would just love that quilt. Another one for my bucket list.
