Default Jelly Roll Race 2 in neutrals

Instead of fishing, my 15 yo great niece wanted to make a quilt. I cut a jelly roll of neutrals from my stash and brought a box of scraps to the cottage. We decided on the MSQC jelly roll race 2. She chose to use all green accent squares. Although she has not sewn a lot, she did a wonderful job with her seam allowances, especially on the narrow cream border. I quilted and bound it for her. I tried the flanged binding (tutorial here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...g-t200207.html ) for the first time and I love how it came out. I also included a close up of the simple quilting.

That is one of the nicest jelly roll races that I have seen. I love how she has used the small green squares to break up the long pieces of fabric strips.

Really nice job by both of you. This quilt could be used by anyone, male or female, old or young. The second photo makes the quilt look even nicer due to the colors appearing much better. I really, really like it.

Love the neutrals! Very pretty quilt and I really like the contrast of the strip lines and the swirl quilting.
