Default Just Beachy quilt for my daughter finished

Some of you had asked me to post the Just Beachy quilt when I had finished quilting it, so here it is. I was stumped about how to quilt it and still retain it's simplicity and clean open look. I wish I could have just left it as it was, but I decided to just quilt these squares and I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
Having fleece backing lets me not worry about how far the quilting is spaced.

As you should be, it is beautiful, I'm going try it too! So, question, I have been using fleece in my last couple, can it be spaced pretty far apart?(i tight way too tight, every time)

I have used that top pattern and never thought to quilt that way . Great job.

I love this -- so simple and classic -- like an "I Spy" quilt for an adult! They say that copying is the perfect form of flattery.... Watch the board, you'll know it when it happens! Thanks for posting this.

With the fleece backing and NO BATTING, you can quilt quite far apart. All you have to do is secure the fleece to the top enough to keep it from shifting completely out of place. I often just outline the blocks, even if they are as large as 10" or 12".

For these blocks that finish at 8", I cut the center section at 4.5" x 8.5" and the outer rails at 2.5"x 8.5".
