Both are lovely but I really like the windmill. Is there something laying over the white on the mascot quilt? I can’t see well on my iPhone so I really can’t make it out.

There is a pocket on the white to put your hands in. It's open on each side and sewn top and bottom to the white piece. The UK fabric is quilting fabric but the white is a soft flannel.

It is a Missouri Quilt Co. pattern--Around the Square. It's cut from 5 inch squares. She has a template you need in order to cut the pieces. All the pieces are cut from the 5 inch squares and then print and white pieces are alternated. It's a really easy and neat pattern. I measured the template (acrylic) piece against some of my triangle in a square templates and it's not what I guess you would call symmetrical so I do recommend her template. She used 10 inch squares she cut into 5 inch pieces but I used my Accuquilt 5 inch die and cut all my pieces that size to start with.

Thank you for thinking of others. They are beautiful and will provided a needed hug for the recipient. Everyone does get cold and these are so much more cheerful than a flannel sheet : )

Very nice quilts. I especially like the one that looks like pinwheels. It is so colorful and will put a smile on someone's face.
