    Default Laynee's Heart Shaped World

I have to say - I'm not 'crazy' about it - but it's close to what the mom-to-be wanted. I've shown a few of the people I work with and they either LOVE it or like me, not so much! I do love the back! Hope to gift it in the next day or two before Laynee arrives in our world!

    The method:
whole piece for the background. I fused a huge whole piece for the black heart. i came back in and added the zebra print to outline the black heart on the black background. Added the colored Kaffee Fassett print for the center heart(more fusing). Turquoise cross on top of the zebra cross on top of the hearts. Raw edge applique with blanket stitch on all that.

On the back, I cut out her initials and appliqued her monogram - raw edge finished.

Quilting is a pano called Tickle.

    Thanks for looking!

You did a good job and the mom-to-be will love it! I like both sides.

I'm voting for CUTE. It's different. The quilting is gorgeous.

This is a different type of baby quilt then the common. However, I like different I think the heart and cross are symbolic of love and this is a very special quilt
