A friend of mine recently published a book on weight loss surgery. She asked me to make some fabric book covers and she sent me a Simplicity pattern. Um I do good to watch Barney and/or Sesame Street for "How to..." Any way, I pulled some stuff of the internet and I made 2 book covers and 2 cell/ipod cases. After 3 tries with the book covers, I think I got "it"! I did make a blue phone case but have already put it in an envelope to send to my cousin for her phone. I guess these do make good stocking stuffers!!

Those are really cute. Did it take long to make them? The reason I ask: I made a cover for my Kindle (made up the pattern as I went along) and it took me all day!! I'd like to make a few as gifts but don't want to spend like 8 hrs per cover. Do you have a secret or way to do it easier? (I'm not too good making it up myself LOL)

No, it only took me "long" to figure it out because I am really all thumbs when it comes to sewing. Like I said, I could watch Sesame Street 24/7 on "how to" it would take me twice as long to get it LOL
