Default Marilyn Monroe Quilt Top DONE!

Good morning! I was able to spend a couple of hours in my studio last night and finished the Marilyn Monroe quilt top! I will trim up the borders once she's quilted. I posted her a week or so ago as I was working on her and was asked about the pattern. I tweaked a pattern called Thimble Pleasures by Quilting Treasures. I got the pattern in a kit I purchased. To tweak it for MM I had to add black to the MM pics to make them all the same size. The alternating blocks in the pattern called for smaller inner fabric and a white border. I wanted to make the shoe fabric bigger so left off the white inner border and I added my own borders. Here she is in all her glory:

As I said before, you did an excellent job with the selection of your fabric to make this quilt. The person that will receive this quilt will just adore it.

Ever wonder what Marilyn would be like today if she was still alive?
