    Thanks for all the kind words. I am really becoming addicted to this stuff and am always searching for new patterns to downsize to using small pieces. Working with triangles is trickier. Anyway MsGrace, Debra K and wvdek are right, I start out with 1" squares, arrange them in a pleasing pattern on a piece of flannel and start sewing and finished size is 1/2".
