What a beautiful quilt. Your sister is lucky to have a loved item survive such a tramatic thing in her life.

What a wonderful story about a surviving quilt, plus your quilts are beautiful.

I love the bonnet girls, and so would my mom!!! And your story was so touching - so glad that your quilt and love were stronger than Katrina.

This is a beautiful quilt. I have had these patterns for years. I would love to know what size your blocks are, and how wide your sashings are. Did you use the actual size of the patterns? This information would be helpful. What size is this quilt? How many blocks did you do?..Thanks for your help..

Such a great story! I really like the wide sashing on this and how it makes the blocks stand up and be seen!

That was my first thought, too... "One of her first quilts?!?". I've been quilting since dinosaurs walked the earth & couldn't even begin to make something so beautiful. I'm so happy it was saved from Katrina. I can't wait to see more of your work!!!
