    Default My Downton Abbey DWR

This is the quilt taught by Gail Kessler in her Craftsy class, using fabrics licensed by the tv series. Mine is cut with Judy Niemeyer's Creative Grids templates. They make smaller rings than the ones in Gail's pattern, so I had to make 56 rings rather than the pattern's 42 to end up with a king size quilt. A good trade-off, I think--more time stitching, but faster and probably more accurate cutting. Quilted on my Babylock Tiara.

Thank you for posting close-ups of your piecing and quilting. Just beautiful. The colors and geometric design are very tranquil. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, I really like the colors and fabrics. Love the size better than the one I made. What an inspiration.

That's a beautiful quilt. Great work with both piecing and quilting.

Very nicely done. One of my UFO is a DWR and it is so old that the fabrics are out of style.
