After reading the book "Aloha" by Jennifer Chiaverini I had to attempt to make at least one block. I drew out my own pattern after searching the internet. I used a piece of pink batik and the background fabric is "Rock Candy" fabric. The only "kinda" white fabric I had at the time. I have throughly enjoyed doing the hand quilting as I find it relaxing. My stitches are all even but I'm trying! I've decided I really need to practice hand quilting in long straight lines to work on evenly spaces stitches.
But hey... have the fun of learning is the practice!

I may turn this into a pillow as it is about a 16x16

Love your block and your quilting is stunning. I thought it was machine quilted at first. Thanks for sharing.
