Here are pics of my first ever D9P block! I really love the process...what I'm not sure about is the purple...

What do you think? I haven't gone past the point of no return, yet, so if the general consensus is "no good" It's ok. ;) My alternative possible thought is to use the blue again instead of the purple...I really love the purple fabric, just not sure if I love it in this combo.

Keep the purple -- as people on this board say, "It makes it pop!"

The other three fabrics are cool or cold looking - and much "finer" in visual texture.

I see the purple first - so my eye would travel to the purple strips first and then I would "see" the other colors later.

I think the other fabrics would be lost if you did not have that purple. I like it.

Keep the purple, it makes the other fabrics come alive and pop.
    Beautiful block.

I like it too ... I think you will like it better after you get a few blocks sewn together.
