If you want easy patterns, try LazyGirl. Hers are easy to follow and pretty fast. Originally Posted by twincreeks

Another tip is to use light or med weight fusible interfacing on the lining for extra support. My customers have been very pleased and most of my orders are by word-of-mouth.
This is in no way a critique because your bag looks great. I know my first bag didn't look that good. Just want to share my mistakes so you don't have to learn them yourself.
Have fun !!
Hi, Yes I did use the fusible pellon on both the purse and the lining. I may try to make a couple to sell. I enjoy picking fabrics. I thought it was difficult to understand the instructions, but now that I have done it, I think it will go a lot faster.

What I found out as a seller is that "my" idea of pretty is not necessarily someone else's idea. I had a hard time stepping out of the box I was used to as fabrics go. I love brights, florals, ok loud.... everyone loved them but didn't want to pay the price of what they cost me to make. Now I'm focused on smaller accessory items and totes with pockets. They have a better sales niche. For some reason, we ladies have a special "bond" with our purses but like loud, bright tote bags.... Good Luck and Have Fun! If you ever have any questions, feel free to PM me. Happy to help if I can. Vicki

The purse if very pretty. I like the red with the black. My niece is wanting me to make her one for her birthday with her name on it. Oh Boy! I am just learning to quilt, etc. Guess I will try to anyway. lol....
