Red face My first quilted at home quilt

I just finished my first project done entirely on my domestic home sewing machines. The piecing was done on my 1954 Singer 201-2 and the quilting was done on my Bernina 1530 and 1948 Singer 201K using a walking foot. It's not perfect and I only used simple straight quilting lines for this first time (baby steps), but I'm very happy with the way it turned out. -Bonnie

That's great. I really like straightline quilting. I'm still trying to get better at free motion ... but it's a challenge.

The browns are very rich looking.

I think your quilting complements the design.

Great Job Bonnie! Looks good. Congrats for taking that first step to doing it yourself. It gets easier and easier with each quilt.

Sure doesn't look like a 1st quilt finish! The colors, piecing and quilting are all beautiful! I love finishing something that seemed a bit challenging but turned out awesome - it sends us on our way to the next quilting adventure Keep us posted on your next projects, too!
