My granddaughter was turning 3 and I asked her what color quilt she would like. (Silly me for asking a 3 year old.) She said pink. I then put her down for a nap and started cutting out the pink fabrics that I had be saving for this quilt. When she woke from her nap I asked her again.(Dumb me) she then said PURPLE. I quit asking and just started sewing. What do you think of my pink and purple quilt. I quilted it with feathers. The little one is for her doll.

    Pink and purple.

It's a pretty quilt. I'll bet you learned your lesson on asking 3 year olds twice! :D

I've noticed that most little girls love pink and purple. Two of mine, no contact since they lived states away from each other, both at the age of 3 and 4 firmly declared that they loved pink and purple.

Years later a GGD at the same age said she loved pink and poople, looked crosseyed and then corrected herself. Still purple!!
    I love that memory.

Those quilts are both lovely, she'll treasure them all her life.

It is beautiful and I am sure she loves it. What a wonderful GM who will make something with both of your "special colors". Kudos to you.
