I downloaded this pattern http://lynbrown.com/?p=1096 a month or so ago and as my brother is coming down to look after my doggie when I am in hospital, and for a week or so after to look after me I thought I would make him a quilt, it is approx: 4' 6"x 6' 6", here is my version:

And using that wonderful tip about till rolls by Sue Fish: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-56940-1.htm I have, IMO, made a lovely border and managed to keep the scraps down, from this quilt, to a reasonable level.

Thank you so much Sue Fish all my Patchwork class Ladies are doing all their Split 9 Patch quilts with this border, will post some pics when I have taken some.

Lovely quilt! How did you manage to get that cute little heart block in the middle?
