Do you have the url for the manual? I figured I'd give the cabinet a cleaning with Murphy's Oil Soap and then use Old English to polish and take it from there. I've used Old English on my violins and upright basses since I was a child. Old habits die hard!
Since you use Old English- have you ever tried the Old English Lemon? This is what I found out about the Lemon years ago, you can use the Old English Lemon on bronze headstones and they will polish up beautifully. Someone told me about doing that and my Dad and I used it on my Mother's headstone. Now I use it on both of their's (a joint headstone), when I get over to the town where it is. - I realize that your machine and cabinet are not headstones or bronze, but I love using the lemon as a change out from the dark on my piano it is mahogany and I use the lemon on my light oak and other furniture. When I refinish a piece of furniture instead of using a stain on it, I use the Fornby's Tung Oil to bring out the natural grain of the wood and it also gives it a low lustre shine. I give it 2-3 coats of the Tung Oil,then I always use Old English on it afterwards.
I love the cabinet it is so neat. Great find. Congrats.
