    Talking My New Year's finish!!!

I started this quilt top yesterday afternoon. Completed sewing all the squares together last night after midnight. Came home this afternoon from church and lunch and got started on the borders. Finished the borders tonight. Don't know yet if I'm going to quilt it. If I do it will be straight lines opposite from the seam lines or take it to my daughter in law in 2 weeks and have her stipple it.

This quilt was commission by a young couple from the local place we eat. They had seen some of my baby quilts and loved my work. Mandy's dad is battling lung cancer for the second time and is a big Steeler's fan. They wanted something for him to carry with him to chemo to keep him warm and wanted it long enough to tuck under his feet and chin. So here's the finished product.

I sure hope they'll be happy with it. I also bought a Steeler logo to embroidery on my label.

    Thanks for looking!!!

Well it's okay if you like the Steelers LOL.
Seriously -- Best wishes for good health in the future to "Mandy's dad". He'll be taking an extra load of love to his chemo treatments by taking this special quilt with him.

WOW you did a great job with the Steelers quilt theme....he will love it and get compliments I am sure! It is hard to find quilts that are long enough for most guys at the store, with out being too wide. God bless you for doing this for him!
