I just cut and laid them out.. the head is off center cause I set it how the seams will be, but the body I got lazy.. any thoughts about a border to add? I have some of the fabric left over, was thinking a scrappy border, but no idea..

    Thoughts?

I think I would pick a color from your already scrappy look and make a more solid border so the owl is still the main attraction.

I love your scrappy owl and agree that another fabric of color to make the owl standout is needed. I would go with a white or off white (very light gray or blue that looks white), and then the border would look nice with one of the light greens that you have in the pattern fabrics.

I love your idea! Looking forward to seeing your finished quilt.
