I but my son's quilt aside to work on this one. This was made for a little girl. Her father just recently lost her sister of two yrs old. There mother beat the girls and put them into intensive care. The dad and mother were divorced and she had custody. The girls ages were 1 and 2. The mother is now serving time. I wasn't able to make the funeral for her sister so I made this quilt for her. The fabric is from Me and My Sister. I also made her a matching pillow case. I hope she will love it. I took sometime on the border piecing. Everything was done by machine.

    This is the front

What a SAD story!!!!! Glad mom's in jail!!!! That's a beautiful quilt....and if you tell her what it's called, I'm sure she'll cherish it some day in the future. I'm sure dad will appreciate it.
You did a VERY good thing!

What a beautiful quilt for such a sad reason.
For some reason, the single, large, purple flower on the lower right of the picture stands out for me. It's so wonderful that she will have that quilt to comfort her! Thank you for doing it for her!
