I make wheelchair lap robes all the time and my finished size is 30" x 36".

That turned out great. The flannel is nice because it helps keep things from sliding off the lap. The flannel is also kind to tender skin.

Thanks! I think it ended up being about 40 by 45, which works well for this particular gentleman, he is in a motorized chair, which sits a bit higher off the ground, and is a bit wider than most wheelchairs.

    Thanks!
They all started as 9' inch squares. I just sewed them together,(one light and one dark) and cut them apart using the HST method. Then I trimmed them down so they were all the same size squares, and layed them out to make the diamond pattern. It was pretty easy to do!
