A couple of months ago I asked for suggestions for a "My Very Own Room"....boy, did I get some great ideas. Well, here are some pics of the completed room. My DH did one fantastic job and I heeded many of the suggestions received here. Thanks, everyone.,

My 2 resident carpenters starting a BIG job.. They are just putting down the floor/foundation for the room. This pic should have been first.

I have great windows along with tract lighting. The drop-leaf table opens to a full 6 feet for great cutting space. The glass-top table is great with a light placed under it to be used as a light table. I had most of the elect outlets put at table top height. The floor is laminate. I have a futon (not shown)just keeping a space warm for my future Tin Lizzie :)

Wow! What a great sewing space! Lighting is so important. I am really re-thinking my layout. How do you like the trac lighting? It looks like you are able to direct the lights?
My sewing room has carpeting, always picking up needles and fuzzies.

I like the trac lighting just fine, but I think we need to put some higher wattage bulbs in.

It's a beautiful space, and the little carpenter is adorable.
