I am so excited I worked all day to get it done. I just finished it half an hour ago. Took me longer to do the borders then it did to to sew the stripes together. I will have to wait to for the backing as the fabric I want is too expensive for me right now. I may have to buy it a yard at a time til I have enough. The top is huge, an over sized king.
What you all think of this monster? Dh didn't like it until I put the borders on now he wants me to get it done. I will be making pillow cases to match the border.

Beautiful! That's a lot of strips for a king size. Great job.

Love your quilt! How many strips did it take to make a King sized quilt? And how wide are your boarders? Thanks in advance for the information. I've made three of these but mine are not as big. Love this pattern, it goes together so fast. Took me a long time too to do the boarders.

It is beautiful, you did a great job. I love the stripes and the colors. The border pulls everything together.

Thank you. I don't know how many strpies it has, I bought a jelly roll from walmart and when I sewed all of it end to end it was a little over 1800 feet of fabric. the side borders are 12 1/2 in and the bottom one is 10 1/2 in and the top one is 6 1/2 inches. the solid pink border is 1 1/2 inches. I love this quilt. It's going on my bed when it is finally done.
Edited to say: I haven't measured to see how big it is yet.

    Thank you Carrie Anne.
I was thinking of using the same fabric as the borders unless I can find a brown in the same shade. Hubby doesn't want anymore pink on it and I agree with him.
