Can anyone post a tute so I can see how to fold my fabric with a ruler? I don't have any of the boards and my shelf is messy. Time to reorganize again. Only this time I am going color instead of theme.

Google Missouri star quilt co. They may have a tut on folding using a ruler.

There is a tutorial on this board - very nice instructions.

I've done my fabric with this method (and it really is cool) but one of our sewing guild members also had a cool idea. She bought a sack of those styrofoam meat trays from a local grocery store and wrapped her fabric around those and secured the ends with a large paper clip. She's able to store them upright on her shelves, and the rounded edges prevent creases in the fabric. She said they were really cheap, although I don't know if that's a general price, or she's just friendly with the butcher ;-)

I fold my material around rulers and it is easy. You fold your material in half salvage to salvage and then fold again and then if you have a large piece I fold them around a 6 inch ruler but if it is a yard or less I use a 4 inch ruler. I don't know if that helps any but that works for me.
