Default New quilt - help me name it

I made this quilt just for the fun of it. I wanted to use up some scraps and challenged myself to make this without buying any fabric (I did end up buying one FQ of green). I really wanted to experiment with tints, tones and shades. It should look like a wash of light shining on the quilt. I designed and pieced it. Claudia Reeves did the quilting for me. I tried to get some good close ups to show her quilting off.

The question is, what to name the quilt. Right now I am calling it my rainbow quilt, but I think there is a better name. Here is another question, is it too girly for a 9 year old boy, I know it depends on the boy, he is very artistic and knows about the color wheel etc. There are no flowers, butterflies, hearts or fairies on the fabrics. I am contemplating giving it to my grand son. I might just ask him! I like to give surprise gifts, but I also like my gifts to be appreciated

I like it and I don't have a clue about what to name it. I don't think of it as being girly or to boyish. Just a great quilt.

I love the quilt and agree, it isn't gender-specific, so would do great for anyone who like color. I think I would call it something like "After the Rain" or maybe "Here Comes the Sun", since the border reminds me of how light plays on wet pavement when the rain stops - and the rainbow in the middle is what we all look for when the sun comes back out, right?

Beautiful-whatever you choose to call it.

Great quilt. The first name that came to mind for me was Sunrise Sunset. I think an artistic boy would love this quilt. The colors and fabric are beautiful.

My initial impression was twilight. I like your quilt very much. It doesn't strike me as gender-specific.

You have done a fantastic job. I love the colours and the striped border. The blocks and remind me of steps but can't think of a good name with that in. Think it would do either gender also but it can be harder to do a boy quilt and this fits well I feel.

I would name it Sunshine and Shadows. And I think it would be great for a boy! It doesn't look girlie at all!
