cant wait to see wha your quilt blocks will be like. I love to see others work and their color choices as I am pretty good with my colours I think, but I always see other color combinations that I had never thought of. I’m here cheering everyone on that is joining me on this wild journey.

It's looking very cool. You have some neat fabrics in there.

    Default Scrap buster Progress

Have been working on this on and off all week, below is my progress so far. I’m trying to prove to a few ladies in our quilt guild that any combination of fabric can work, you just have to be inventive. I have also sewn 2.5 inch pieces together so I have a piece big enough to cut a 3.5 inch square and a 2 inch strip. It doesn’t take much to make me happy.

As a newbie to quilting, this is the part I struggle with. Can you speak to how you have combined or eliminated or included fabric in this stash buster? Pattern, color........?

    Thanks in advance.

these blocks either use the same coloured fabric, but different hues or use contrasting fabric or on occasion fabric that clashes with its neighbour. I just sew the blocks and when I think I have enough I will do a final layout. There are a few blocks, that so far have not made the cut. I’m going for the big, bold out of the box quilt. Not everyone’s idea of a quilt, but I want this one to bring a smile to the recipients face.
