I put this off and off kept finding other projects to do. I finally sat down and switched machines hoping it would be easier on my other brother machine. It is nothing fancy just simple movements back and forth. My Dd is very happy with it so far. For those of who remember this is the quilt I made using the scraps I bought at the thrift store. I didn't think it was too bad for my first try. What do you all think?

I think you are on a roll girl. That looks good! Are you totally hooked now? Did you say you want a long arm now? LOL

Nice job... - First time is a little scary, isn;t it? - you were brave to do something other than straight lines....I am glad to see another beginner machine quilter...I just did my first one this week too, and at first I wasn't happy with it - saw all my mistakes - but when it was all done, it actually looked fine. Now I am going to try machine binding...

Bring it on. It was a B to sew on my machine but I really enjoyed it. I still have to do the border.

I did machine binding yesterday and I wasn't too happy with it but I had to get the baby quilt I was working on done.

We all have to start somewhere. At the beginning is good. I have friends who never do their own quilting! I feel like the quilt is mine totally if I do my own quilting. And now with the new computerized long arms--they do work that is so perfect--kind of takes the winds out of our sails, but I prefer looking at a quilt not just the quilting!
