    I agree--I am not a big fan of the one block quilts, but yours is truly beautiful. I like the idea of it having some definition with the yellow blocks "floating" through your design.

    I keep looking at pics of these quilts and just know eventually I will make one. Your's is so kool. Thanks for sharing and giving all of us incentive to try one too.

    I think that is how the fabric is cut--lengthwise. (See the links to the tutorials from cutebuns I posted above.) I had 2 yards of fabric. I cut it down the center and used just one half because I didn't want to make a huge OBW for my first one. I used part of the second half for part of the backing and have just a little of the original fabric left.
