Krystyna, what a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do! Will pray for him also. I know the Lord watches and will bless you also for your kindness!

I don't really know Rooster's Dad, but it doesn't matter. Prayer and kindness cross all boundaries and this little quilt brought all of us closer together.[/quote]

What a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do! I'm so glad to have read this tonight because we invited a "stranger" to dinner tonight and I wanted to make him a quilt too. We met him at church last week; he is deployed here for training before he leaves for Afghanistan. He came to church last Sunday and I remembered when my son was in training in North Carolina that he was invited to dinner each Sunday after church. So we did the same. I don't think I have time to make a quilt before he leaves, but want to send it to him once he gets there. Thanks for your post. Seems like it's a universal desire for quilters everywhere to touch others with a quilt.

So thoughtful of you, this really touched me because my husband passed away March 14, 2010, with lung cancer but then it went to the brain. Thx so much for sharing. God Bless You Lura
