    Hi Cudley, I have not washed it yet as I need to add a couple more rows to each side. It is much wider than long, and I think by adding a couple more rows to the sides will make it more balanced. Yes, It is very heavy. I didn't use any batting under the little squares as I have read where some quilters do. Good luck and thanks for the comments.

    Love all of them, but my fav is the cathedral window, or is it the double wedding ring, hmmmmm??? Good job!
