I love it, I wish I had the nerve to try curved seams, I'm to chicken.

About a year and a half ago another QB member posted a quilt made with this pattern. I tracked down the designer and she only taught it in classes (West coast) but recommended I get the "Great American Quilts" book from 2001 (I think ) that the pattern was in there from another quilter. So I now have the pattern. It is all done via an applique method, no peicing, no curved seams but prepared applique using the freezer paper method as MTS said. I have started to prepare pieces for it but applique is not one of my favorite things to do so I think it will be a while before I make it. Though I will make it because I just love the finished quilt so much.

I've never seen it done in applique - sounds interesting. Like I said before, this one is pieced, but there is only 1 piece in the entire quilt. Since the curves are so gentle, it really isn't hard to piece and you have a chance to square things up after all the piecing.
